The Christian Action Ministry, better known as CAM, is responsible for overseeing the benevolent contributions to local, national, and international ministries. In 2024, we provided support to 16 local and 5 international missions with a budget of $55,000 that was made possible from our congregation’s monetary contributions. In addition to pledged giving, we support special offerings. These include the One Great Hour of Sharing, the Mother’s Day offering at our Presbytery Retirement communities, the Thornwell Children’s Home, and our Joy Gift offering.
- We meet monthly to review current programs and evaluate opportunities for service and how we can continue to serve the needs of the world, our local community, and within our own congregation. We continue to add new members to our ministry and rotate leadership to engage many minds and efforts.
- We are blessed to have a congregation that is both willing and capable of providing leadership and volunteering in many of the organizations in our community and we take their input into consideration as we seek God’s will in our support.
