Ministry-Centered Fellowship

Sharing Life & Faith

wave line

The Congregational Fellowship Ministry strives to strengthen the body of Fort Hill Church by offering engaging programs for all members of the church. The ministry is responsible for developing programs that enhance Christian fellowship among members and increase their ability to interact with one another in a spirit of love.

We’re all about having fun together in a friendly atmosphere, sharing the love of God. We would love others to help and participate in this fun and fellowship. Join our committee or sign up to help with an upcoming event.

Events for the Whole Family

Specific events that fall under the umbrella of the Fellowship Ministry include:

  • Congregational Dinner — The congregation-wide fellowship dinner that is held as needed.
  • Church-wide Retreat — An event at Montreat, where interested church members of all ages gather in another location for Bible study, community building, and Sabbath.
  • Fall BBQ — In the fall, we host a BBQ lunch at the church for everyone to reconnect and meet the PSA Students. The church provides the food for this meal.
  • Spring Picnic — Each May, we meet at the Clemson Outdoor Picnic Area for a covered dish meal. The church provides meat and drink, and the church members bring a dish to share.
  • Angel Vespers — A soup supper is served before the Angel Vespers Services.
  • Ash Wednesday — We host a covered dish before the service.
  • Summer First Sunday Breakfasts — To keep our congregation connected during our summer months, this ministry organizes a monthly covered dish breakfast before worship on the first Sunday of June, July, and August.
  • Book Swap — Twice a year, spring and fall, members are invited to bring any books they want to give away. Tables are set up in the Atrium and members have a few weeks to pick up new books. After the swap, we donate the books to the local library.
  • Outings — Plan outings to Clemson or Greenville sports events, such as going as a group to the Greenville Drive or games held in Clemson.
  • Craft Connections — Meet with other members on the 4th Sunday to have a time to fellowship and work on a craft you have in the works. Bring a bag lunch and meet in the Club Room right after church.
  • Book Club — Book Club meets the second Monday of each month at 7 pm in The Den. Members pick books ahead of time and gather to discuss the book. Several local authors have come to speak to the group. Group field trips to author signings.
