Living Stones

Stewardship CornerFort Hill is a Clemson church where people love God, love each other, love being here and love serving this town. It is a church built with stone. Jesus Christ is the cornerstone. Our strategic plan provides steppingstones to guide us for the next five years. We, the congregation, are the “Living Stones” that support Fort Hill’s mission to Glorify God, Grow Disciples, and Meet Human Needs. “Living Stones” is the theme for Stewardship this year.

As Clemson and the surrounding community continue to grow through 2030 and beyond, Fort Hill’s living stones are called to respond faithfully and intentionally. Building on our strengths, we will respond by deepening and extending our ministries and hospitality so that more people may grow as disciples and share God’s love.

Claimed and called God’s chosen and beloved people, we are here to serve and share. We serve because we are grateful for God’s goodness and love. We give because God has given to us, in Jesus Christ, a life that is rich and abundant. Stewardship of our money is one way we respond with grateful hearts. Our gifts gathered from our community make a big impact on our faith family and ripples out to the community and world.

As “Living Stones”, we are built into a spiritual house and giving of time, talent, and treasure is a spiritual practice. As stewardship season approaches, may we be “Living Stones” together!

“Like living stones, let yourselves be built into a spiritual house, to be a holy priesthood, to offer spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.” — Ephesians 2:1
