How Do I Become A Member?
Fort Hill Presbyterian Church welcomes believers at all stages into its fellowship. If you are interested in becoming a member of this Christian community, we invite you to attend our Discovering Faith Luncheon.
Discovering Faith Luncheon is specially designed to help prospective and recent Fort Hill members learn about our congregation, its beliefs, traditions, government and programs. It is a safe place to ask questions about faith, questions about transitioning from another congregation or even non-belief, questions about raising a child in the church, or questions about congregational care.
You may join our church in three ways:
- Profession of Faith: for new Christians who profess their faith for the first time and desire to be baptized.
- Reaffirmation of Faith: for Christians who have been baptized and were a member of a church at one time, but no longer hold membership in a church.
- Transfer of Letter: for Christians who are members of another church and wish to move their membership.
After meeting with the Session of the church in order to join, you will be introduced and welcomed in our worship services. You will be assigned a Deacon who will help you get involved in the life of the church.
Whatever your interest level in joining Fort Hill Presbyterian Church, we invite you to make plans to attend. Childcare is available for parents with younger children and lunch will be provided.
All Discovering Faith Luncheons are held on Sundays from 11:30 am — 2:00 pm at Fort Hill Presbyterian Church in the Club Room. We are also very sensitive to the fact that you may not be ready to attend a Discovering Faith class yet. That is absolutely okay. You are welcome as our visitor at worship services, fellowship activities, and Sunday classes anytime.
