The Youth Ministry of Fort Hill Presbyterian Church is a God-centered, safe community. Our goal is to nurture youth to seek God and to be lifelong disciples equipped to love and serve others through faith and fellowship.
Youth Group on Sunday Nights
Fort Hill Church Youth Group is for grades 6th through 12th. On Sunday nights from 5:00-7:00 pm, we gather to spend time together, discuss matters of faith, play games, and pray with one another. Youth Group begins in Tartan Hall and moves to the Nest (Mid-High Youth, 6th-8th grades) and the Den (Senior High Youth, 9th-12th grades) on the first floor below the Sanctuary.
- Dinner is served for all youth from 5:00-6:00 pm
- Drop-off and pick up is located on McHugh Street by the courtyard
Summer Trips
Each summer, Fort Hill Youth Ministry sponsors week-long trips, in which all of our youth are invited to take part in together. Whether we’re serving in soup kitchens, building relationships with new people, or deepening our faith alongside young people from across the country at Montreat, our youth are taking part in God’s mission to do justice, love kindly, and walk humbly with God.
Confirmation
Each year, Fort Hill 8th grade youth are invited to take part in confirmation, which is designed to allow each participant to discover or rediscover that God has called, loved, and known them from the very beginning. Each participant will have an opportunity to claim the Christian faith as his or her own and place it in the context of our church community.
Confirmation is a twelve-session class that begins each year in January and runs through early May. Each confirmand is paired with a covenant partner who is an elder in the church. Covenant partners are mentors who walk with confirmands along their journey of faith.
